Schedule: I think at this point, the primary goal for me is to establish a schedule. One of the things that you don’t expect when you start working from home is how easy it is to not work. ’cause hey, it’s home, and you can just as easily… take a nap. (mmmm… naps)
Money: I also need to get my finances in order. Before being laid off, I had started towards a goal of having three months’ worth of bills in the bank. Thanks to delays with the state of CA in paying out my unemployment, that turned out to be a good idea. However now I need to work on a life beyond survival, which means making changes to clean things up.
Soul: More and more of late, I find myself being drawn back to where I began – art. I have a trilogy to finish, and paintings laid out in photoshop but never put to canvas. Those are the things I want to put my energy into. That’s what I’d like my life to be about.
Before anything, I need to make the time and space and resources which will allow me to do that. So first things first. Schedule. Money. Structure. Find a way in there to make room for my soul.
